Ingredients:
For the cake:

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup plain greek yogurt or sour cream (6 ounces)
  • 8 ounces (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1½ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract

For the glaze:

  • 3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1½ teaspoons espresso powder*
  • ½ cup heavy cream
